How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

The state of Oregon requires you to be 18 years of age, no matter what. Your parent or guardian cannot sign for you.

How much do tattoos cost?

Every tattoo is going to be priced differently, and is dependent on size, location, detail, and color. What we can tell you is that we have a $60 shop minimum and our artist prices are based on $125 and hour. If you would like a more direct quote, you are welcome to come into the shop with some images or ideas and talk to our artists. If you have a larger custom piece that you want, or have a large-scale piece, we recommend that you set up a consultation with the artist of your choice.

Do I need to make an appointment for a tattoo?

YES. Very rarely do the Tattoo artist have a walk-in available. They are generally booked out a week or more, so if you want a tattoo on a certain day, or are coming into town a particular week, you should call a bit in advance. You are always welcome to call, as we do have a cancellation list, and from time to time can give you a call to come on in to fill a spot.

What do I need to do to make an appointment?

To make an appointment for tattoos you are welcome to call (541-621-7666) or come in to the shop. For ALL tattoo appointments you will need to leave a $20 non-refundable deposit for your appointment. Usually, if you let us know at least a day in advance, we are willing to reschedule your appointment day or time. We know things happen, so we are generally flexible within reason. If you are a no show, or cancel the day of, you will have to pay the $20 deposit again to reschedule, no exceptions!

What do I need to do or bring the day of my appointment?

You will need your ID. If you don’t have your state, military, or federal issued ID we cannot do anything for you, even if we know you, or you look well over 18, it’s the law. Tattoos can also be stressful on the body, so make sure you are well rested, and have eaten 2-4 hours before your appointment.

Do Tattoos hurt?

Everyone experiences pain differently, but generally, yes, a bit, and some places are more sensitive than others. It is nothing you can’t handle though, so just remember to breathe and relax, as it is the best way to deal with any pain.

Do you guys numb the area for tattoos?

No we do not.

Can I bring my baby/child with me to my appointment?

We love kids but we ask that you do not bring your children. You may have the most well behaved kids in the world … but our shop is not the best place to hang out. It’s loud, has no toys to play with, and is not a good place to crawl around in while our artists are trying to concentrate.

We love kids but we ask that you do not bring your children without another adult’s supervision.

Should I tip?

YES! If you’re happy with your service, tips are always appreciated, but never expected.

Do you accept debit or credit cards?

We love cold hard cash, but we also accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We DO NOT accept personal checks, money orders or traveler’s checks.

How do I care for my new tattoo?

When you come in for your appointment, you will be given instructions on how to care for your new tattoo. Just make sure you follow the directions. If you come in with a poorly healed tattoo we will know if you didn’t take care of it… we are that good. If you are experiencing any issues with your tattoo even if we did not do it, please feel free to call us or come in. We, like you, want to see you heal up healthy and properly.

Here is the basic aftercare run down:

Tattoos usually take around 2 weeks to heal. You will need some non-fragrance mild liquid hand soap to wash your new tattoo 2-3 times a day. Once you wash it, you want to pat it dry with a single use paper towel, and then apply a thin coat of Aquaphor, being sure to rub it in. You will want to keep a thin coat of Aquaphor on at all times, so make sure to have it with you and wash your hands before you apply. Other shops use other products, but we have found that we like Aquaphor the best, and feel that it helps heal better than anything else. If you are going to the store to buy it, you will generally find it with the lotions. You can find it at your local drug store.

Is it safe?

Yes, tattoos and piercing are very safe when done by trained professionals. We practice high levels of sanitation and sterilizations. All needles are single use; all tools are put through a 3-part sterilization process, and are sealed in sterile bags until time of use. We spray down all surfaces with a high level disinfectant after each client, and clean/ sterilize the shop each and every day.

What if I have a medical condition, or am pregnant or nursing?

Certain medical conditions may prevent you from being able to get a tattoo or piercing. Many of which are auto immune, and prevent your body from healing quickly. If you are not sure if your particular medical condition will allow you to be tattooed or pierced, first ask your doctor if your body and immune system are strong enough, then talk to your artist.

If you are pregnant, you CAN NOT get a tattoo as it puts too much stress on the body and can be very harmful to your developing child. Nursing is situational, and should be addressed with your artist or doctor before your appointment.

If there is any question that you have that we have not addressed here, please feel free to call and ask us. We want you to feel safe and comfortable with us, so we are always happy to talk to you about any questions or concerns you may have.
